Steve Lawlor has joined the Rockwell Automation team as the new Customer Support and Maintenance Business Manager for Australia and New Zealand.
Lawlor will be responsible for the management and coordination of the field services and training teams in both countries in addition to heading up operations at the Rockwell Automation repair facility located in Melbourne.
Lawlor says that his key focus in the new role will be the development and expansion of the company’s Customer Support and Maintenance divisions.
“We aim to enrich the end-users’ experience of Rockwell Automation technology,” he said.
“By providing expertise when the company’s equipment is being installed and configured, our teams help ensure the optimisation of system functionality and performance for each application from day one.”
Additionally, the field services and training teams will provide training to onsite personnel to boost their proficiency in operating and maintaining Rockwell Automation equipment.
The teams will also be able to organise managed-parts agreements for end-users to minimise cost and delivery times. End-users can also benefit from enhanced operational performance and experience maximised system up-time.
Drawing on his considerable experience as District Service Manager for the company in western Canada, Lawlor brings a wealth of proven initiatives to the Australasian market.
He plans to focus on addressing the needs of industry in the remote regions across the continent from a Customer Support and Maintenance perspective.
