Two new Allen-Bradley Guardmaster safety relays from industrial automation leader, Rockwell Automation , deliver high-performance safety protection while helping reduce installation time and costs.
With multi-output capabilities, the versatile MSR142RTP and MSR144RTP relays are designed to meet a variety of safety application requirements including those incorporating safety interlock switches, E-stops, light curtains and safety mats.
Featuring seven safety outputs, four auxiliary outputs and two solid-state auxiliary outputs, the Allen-Bradley Guardmaster MSR142RTP helps users reduce installation costs and conserve cabinet space through not having to purchase additional expansion modules.
For more complex applications where flexibility and a higher number of output contacts are required, the modular Allen-Bradley Guardmaster MSR144RTP relay is easily expanded via a ribbon connector from the dedicated plug-in expansion modules.
Up to five outputs expansion modules can be connected together in any combination of immediate (MSR230) or delayed (MSR238) output modules, supporting up to 22 safety output contacts in total.
In addition to reducing installation costs and wiring complexity, the MSR144RTP helps simplify inventory, as its modular design can be applied to meet a broad range of equipment specifications and application demands.
The MSR144RTP relay can be connected in four different input wiring configurations and allows users to switch several safety circuits or different voltages with one E-stop command.
The Allen-Bradley Guardmaster MSR142RTP and MSR144RTP safety relays also feature removable coded terminals, two solid-state auxiliary outputs and both solid-state and electromechanical inputs and are equipped with automatic or monitored manual reset capabilities and comprehensive LED diagnostics.
These new relays not only provide a high level of safety protection, but also help reduce service and maintenance costs.
Both safety relays conform to all relevant standards including AS4024.1-2006 safety of machinery and achieve Cat. 4 according to standard EN 954-1: 1997 safety of machinery and safety-related parts of control systems.
The safety relays are encased in IP40-rated polyamide housings for protection against shock and vibration and offer convenient 35mm DIN rail mounting capabilities.
