A select number of Australian food and beverage industry executives will attend a presentation entitled Food
safety and beyond—making regulatory compliance work, to be delivered by one of the country’s leading
authorities in food safety regulatory compliance and quality assurance, Wayne McKenzie.
McKenzie’s address will be the keynote presentation at a two-day seminar series and tradeshow—Automation on the Move—hosted by food and beverage industry automation group, Rockwell Automation Australia .
The issue of food safety cuts to the heart of the Australian food industry. In short, a single food safety breach can have far-reaching implications. Regulators at an international, national, state and local level have responded to this, by rolling out an ever-growing list of food safety compliance requirements.
In his presentation, McKenzie will review the impact of this increasing regulatory demand, and how compliance alone does not necessarily ensure food safety.
He will explore the importance of collecting live production and product data from the factory floor, and ensuring that this is transformed into actionable information— information that can help meet corporate objectives well beyond those of food safety.
Drawing on his almost 30 years industry experience, plus a vast knowledge of the regulatory requirements and compliance practices in Australia and abroad, McKenzie will provide a refreshing new perspective on the issue of food safety.
