THE new Allen-Bradley 45FVL fibre optic photoelectric sensor is useful for applications detecting small objects or where detection space is limited.

Now available from Rockwell Automation Australia , the 45FVL has self-teach capabilities and includes a new 'Power Bus' feature, which promotes productivity increases while decreasing installation time and expense.

Housed in a compact DIN rail-mountable package, the devices possess a backlit digital display that shows various operating modes, functions, diagnostic information and margin indication.

The pushbutton-operated, self-teach capability simplifies setup and allows the 45FVL to learn application characteristics and adjust sensitivity and hysteresis settings automatically for optimal performance.

Manual adjustment is also provided for measurements that require greater precision.

The DIN rail mounting allows the use of the new Power Bus feature. Through the Power Bus interface, up to sixteen 45FVL sensors can be powered at once, without wiring power to each, resulting in a significant reduction in wiring and installation time.

For installation convenience, a stainless steel mounting bracket is supplied for mounting individual amplifiers.
