Rockwell Automation has added Ethernet/IP capabilities to their CENTERLINE motor control centres (MCC). The new Ethernet/IP feature enables users to access more detailed production data, which would assist in creating higher asset availability, improved productivity and reduced maintenance costs.
CENTERLINE MCCs are designed to meet manufacturers’ needs with a rugged, high-performance packaging solution. The CENTERLINE MCCs feature IntelliCENTER technology, which uses a preconfigured and pre-tested network with integrated hardware and software.
This reduces installation time, with its plug-and play setup, and can help minimise facility downtime by providing intelligent diagnostics and predictive failure information.
With the added Ethernet/IP feature, it provides the MCCs a single, standard network that simplifies communication for the entire enterprise and provides users with flexible controls to configure and collect data from any point in the system.
Users can access information remotely from the CENTERLINE MCCs, and would also allow personnel to monitor, troubleshoot and diagnose without being exposed to dangerous conditions and power equipment.
The CENTERLINE motor control centres, with new Ethernet/IP capabilities, are available from Rockwell Automation.
