DESIGNED for motor control applications in washdown or zero-cabinet environments, Rockwell Automation's new Allen-Bradley Bulletin 160Z ac drive features IP65-rated environmental protection and network connectivity in a compact, space-saving design.
The latest in the Bulletin 160 family of variable speed ac drives, the Bulletin 160Z delivers user-specified control solutions for three-phase motors ranging from 0.37 to 4kW in voltage classes of 200 to 240V and 380 to 460V.
Small enough for mounting on most standard ac motors, the Bulletin 160Z's durable design helps it withstand increased vibration when mounted directly onto a motor. Adaptor plates are available for motor, wall and flange mounting.
This installation flexibility is matched by its range of communications network connectivity, with communications modules available for DeviceNet, RS232C, Profibus-DP and InterBus-S.
Start-up on the 160Z AC drive is simplified by using either a remote keypad module or 'CopyCat' keypad module.
The IP65-rated remote keypad module can be used in place of separate panel-attached control inputs, while the 'CopyCat' keypad module with hand held interface simplifies programming by allowing parameter upload and download.
Other attractive features of the 160Z ac drive include fault history for performing system diagnostics; an elapsed time meter indicating the hours and power cycles the drive has operated; feedback on specific drive and load conditions; programmable external dynamic braking; and improved I/O response time.
