A NEW line of Allen-Bradley 700-HL terminal block relays is available from Rockwell Automation offering reduced space requirements and installation costs for a variety of high density isolation and interposing applications.
This 6.2mm device is available with two output options: a 'single pole double throw' relay, or a single 'normally open' solid state output.
Suitable for a range of applications, including semiconductor, packaging, conveyor and automotive manufacturing, the new terminal block relays protect programmable controllers from costly repairs and downtime.
Comprising a 20-way jumper wiring system, the relay and socket come fully assembled from the factory to save field installation time, and in the event of a contact failure, the pluggable relay can be quickly replaced.
For added protection against input voltage fluctuations, the terminal block relay features built-in coil surge suppression, which limits the amount of input voltage to the coil and suppresses noise generated from the coil.
The socket also features dc input polarity protection, which prevents damage to the device in the event the input connections are reversed.
A variety of input voltages are available, including 24, 48, 110, 125, 230 and 240V ac/dc, as well as lower cost 24 and 48V dc only. The standard model also includes a LED status indicator.
The new relay has been endorsed by a number of major bodies.
Its awards include an Allen-Bradley exclusive and industry-first Underwriters Laboratories (UL) rating; marine certification from the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA) and the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS); and ratings from European bodies IMQ and CE. Rockwell Automation 03 9896 0300.
