THE comprehensive support arm program of Rittal ’s "CP" series has now been supplemented by a new height-adjustable pedestal version.
This leaves almost nothing to be desired in terms of ergonomics and operator friendliness of the new Rittal enclosure.
Safety and ergonomics at the workplace are ever gaining in importance. For this reason Rittal presented at the end of last year a height-adjustable support arm system for operating housings which meets this demand.
Depending on the given installation conditions or possibilities, it may be necessary to set up the housing separately rather than using the support arm at the machine.
This is recommended, for example, if strong vibrations endanger electronic components or render them unreadable. Rittal has a solution to this problem: the height-adjustable CP pedestal.
The pedestal is of a modular design and comprises a rising column, a control unit and a cross member with cast legs.
The height of the rising column can be adjusted by a ready-to-connect control unit from 670 to 1140mm. The spindle drive is secured against accidental lowering; an electronic overload shut-off provides additional protection.
The adjusting unit made of extruded aluminium sections with an all-round groove make it possible to install individual components using the corresponding mounting set.
Furthermore, a head plate makes it possible to install CP-L support arm components or direct external mounting of housings, table tops etc, including adjusting drive with transformer.
Additionally, the rising column can be installed using a footplate on a cross member or existing subassemblies made by the customer.
The rising column meets the protection category IP65 to EN60 529/10.91 and is designed for a permissible load of a maximum of 80kg.
