Richardson Electronics has signed a global partnership agreement with Kenet to distribute its entire product line of low-power, high-performance Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADCs).
Kenet’s products provide the low-power, high performance conversion needed in advanced applications, including cellular base stations, broadband communication infrastructure, military defense systems and industrial instrumentation equipment.
“Kenet is an emerging company in high performance ADCs,” said Chris Marshall, vice president of Richardson Electronics’ Wireless and Broadband Communications Group.
“With products like new 12-bit, 500 MSPS ADC, they are pushing the state-of-the-art in the industry, and we expect to see significant growth with them in applications such as point-to-point radio links, high-performance instrumentation, radar and more.”
Kenet ended calendar 2007 garnering several product awards from industry trade publications like EDN and Electronic Design.
Kenet's flagship converter, the KAD5512-50, sets new power/performance benchmarks for 12-bit, 500 MSPS converters, delivering edge performance metrics while consuming nearly an order of magnitude less power than existing solutions.
