IBM has authorised Retriever Communications ' wireless field force solution has been authorised by IBM to work with its premier asset management solution Maximo. To achieve this IBM "OPAL" status, Retriever has worked with IBM's Maximo labs and have been able to pass their live integration tests and functionality requirements.
The solution for Maximo installations is focused on field technicians with maintenance service or asset inspection requirements. Work orders created in Maximo are sent through the Retriever service to the scheduled mobile field technicians. The job details are completed by the field technician on a ruggedized PDA or tablet. When the job is completed the job details can be immediately updated into Maximo.
Retriever is one of only two companies in the world to have achieved Maximo OPAL status for wireless field technician application extension. Additionally, Retriever is the only OPAL status represented in Asiapac.
Retriever has customers in 32 countries and supports all languages including double byte character sets.
