A common mistake people make in pest control is choosing a service that focuses on reactive treatments rather than a proactive program, according to Rentokil Pest Control general manager David Peterson.
“People often select a pest control service that focuses on reactive treatments with minimal reporting and little or no technical support rather than a proactive program where the pest control service provider and customer work together to deal with issues and use detailed reporting and trend analysis to plan future actions,” David said in his presentation in FOOD magazine’s educational webcast: Key Elements Of A Successful Food Safety Program now online.
“Two further common mistakes are taking on a pest control service with a service frequency that is insufficient to properly protect your premises - thinking this is saving money - and failure to action recommendations provided by the pest control service provider,” David said.
