Renishaw will be showcasing their new line of versatile gauges at the upcoming MMM Roadshow 2012 in Essex.

The Make Measurement Matter Roadshow 2012 will be held on 17th October at The Centre for Manufacturing Excellence in Rainham, Essex.

Visitors to the roadshow will have the opportunity to see live demonstrations of Renishaw's Equator gauging system, the first product in its new gauging line designed as a radical alternative to traditional gauging systems.

Featuring a patented low-cost design, Renishaw's Equator gauging system is unique in construction and method of operation, capable of high-speed comparative gauging for the inspection of high-volume manufactured parts.

The thousands of points collected during 3D scanning with the industry standard SP25 probe results in better metrology and enables effective form measurement. Every data point can be used for comparative measurement with one Equator performing the function of thousands of DTIs, LVDTs or handheld instruments.

The Equator gauging system has been designed in close collaboration with automotive, aerospace and medical gauging users alongside their manufacturing machines, resulting in a lightweight, fast and highly repeatable gauge that operators can use with pushbutton simplicity.

Key features of the Equator gauging system:

  • Small benchtop system allows installation in minutes
  • Innovative gauging technology based on traditional comparison of production parts to a reference master part
  • Re-mastering as swift as measuring a production part, immediately compensating for any thermal effects
  • Quick re-configuration to facilitate part design changes or measure new parts
Renishaw Oceania represents the Renishaw Group in Australia.
