Gloucestershire-based global engineering company, Renishaw has been confirmed as player sponsor for Ben Morgan when he joins Gloucester Rugby from Llanelli Scarlets in the summer.
England international Morgan has won numerous plaudits for his RBS Six Nations Championship performances including the Man-of-the-Match award against Ireland.
Headquartered near Wotton-under-Edge, Renishaw is already a Community partner with Gloucester Rugby where it supports the Try Centre Educational programmes. In addition to being this season's sponsor of Henry Trinder, Renishaw will once again sponsor the Young Player of the Season award at the club's end of season dinner.
According to Chris Pockett, Renishaw's Head of Communications, Ben is a very exciting young player and a great example of what can be achieved through a combination of personal dedication and supportive mentoring.
He adds that the sponsorship decision came about naturally as Ben was brought up in the small parish of Kingswood where the Renishaw HQ is located and where his grandmother was an employee. Ben has also played his formative rugby at Dursley RFC.
Going from strength to strength, Renishaw has over 100 vacancies in Gloucestershire to add to its existing 1,600 staff employed at its five sites in the County.
Renishaw offers core skills in measurement, motion control, spectroscopy and precision machining technologies with products including measurement sensors and software, gauging products, calibration systems, position encoders as well as Raman spectroscopy products.
Renishaw Oceania represents the Renishaw group in Australia and New Zealand.
