Magnetic rotary encoders use hall-effect sensor technology, and are made incorporates a magnetic actuator and separate encoder body. The custom encoder chip will detect the rotation of the actuator and process the output required. Magnetic rotary encoders are available in non-contact, frictionless and bearing models.
The rotary encoder case is particularly resistant to dirt and when seals has a rating of IP68 and offers high speed operation to 30,000 rpm.
