Hygiene and the handling of food are issues, which need vigilant attention. The device has two distinct actions: it allows the bin to be either partially or full opened, then closed, without the operator ever having to touch the bin with any part of the body except the foot. And unlike many of its less industrial competitors, Lid Lifta can be used from the front or right or left sides of the bins.

Lid Lifta eliminates the dangers associated with busy staff overlooking such basic hygiene actions by ensuring the staff never have to touch the lid of the bin with their hands during food handling, yet the bin lid remains closed in food preparation areas.

The unique spring action of the Lid Lifta provides downward pressure on the lid when closed thereby making the bin less susceptible to being invaded by vermin such as rats, birds, snakes and even cockroaches.

Lid Lifta is available with 80, 120, 140 and 240litre wheelie bins. 35 litre and 50 litre round bins and biohazard bins are also available with stainless steel lid-lifting devices attached.
