The recent 3D scanning technologies will be demonstrated by Scan-Xpress, which specialises in high resolution 3D scanning, inspection, reverse engineering and parametric modelling - on stand 3125, during National Manufacturing Week, organised by Reed Exhibitions , at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre from May 27 to 30.
Scan-Xpress’ customers include automotive companies, industrial design and packaging companies, film and television productions and engineering and tooling companies.
With a focus on customer service and high quality data, Scan-Xpress uses the recent 3D scanning technologies; including he GOM ATOS white light system, and Z-Corp’s hand-held laser-based system.
“Each of these provides significant savings in the time and costs associated with data capture,” said Kevin Warwick of Scan-Xpress. Scan-Xpress also uses Inus Technology’s RapidForm XOR2 reverse engineering software.
“This has both free-form surface and solid modelling capabilities when working with scanned data. Now a fully parametric model can be produced and transferred directly to many CAD platforms,” Kevin Warwick said.
