Phoenix Society will be showcasing its “one stop shop” service for the wine industry on Stand F07 during WineTech - The Australian Wine Industry Trade Exhibition to be held at the Adelaide Convention & Exhibition Centre, from July 29 to August 1, 2007.
Phoenix Society Incorporated is a not-for-profit organisation with the prime purpose of employing, training and developing people with disabilities through employment settings.
Employees primarily have intellectual disabilities; however, the organisation caters for a wide range of disabilities and provides opportunities for anyone who has an ability to work.
Employing more than 500 people in South Australia, Phoenix Society Incorporated has developed a niche market in providing a range of services for the wine industry.
Whether the need is new water meters for vineyards, timber pallets, crates, POS presentation boxes, through to embroidery of apparel, mail-out processing or de-labelling/labelling and repack services, Phoenix can offer a solution.
“Our Wine Services division has experienced sales growth of 25% per annum over the last few years and, as a result, we have taken the decision to relocate our bottle de-labelling/labelling and repacking operation to larger premises at Elizabeth,” said Andrew Ormandy, General Manager – Business Development.
“One of the benefits resulting from our move is that our customers have now gained an increased volume output, without comprising quality, which is vital given the nature of the product that we are working with. We are also now able to provide a more direct freight route to Port Adelaide for finished product destined for the export market, which will reduce their trans-shipping costs.”
