Kiwi Operation Downunder will be displaying new Brokk radio controlled demolition robot on stand R100 during AIMEX 2007 – Asia Pacific’s International Mining Exhibition, to be held at Sydney’s Olympic Park from September 4 to 7, 2007.

The Brokk 50 is the new addition to the range, replacing the Brokk 40. The new demolition robot machine is 600mm wide, weighs 550 kg with an attachment, is powered by a 5.5 kW electric motor and has a 2.4m reach.

The demolition robot has the ability to work in hot conditions, improved hydraulics and greater strength.

The robot’s mining applications include replacing a person on a jackhammer for cleaning runners, small ladles and launders.

The four machines in the Brokk range can each handle a range of attachments such as standard and clamshell buckets, hammers, concrete crushers and grapples.
