Hyundai Australia will have the Australian launch of its new R800LC 7A 80t excavator on Stand 205, in the outside exhibition area, during AIMEX 2007 – Asia Pacific’s International Mining Exhibition, to be held at Sydney’s Olympic Park from September 4 to 7, 2007.
The R800LC-7A is the new addition to the Hyundai Robex excavator range and is designed for applications in the mining and quarrying sectors.
With an operating weight of around 81.5 tonnes, it is powered by a Tier 3-compliant Cummins QSX15 engine rated at 343 kW. Standard bucket capacity is 3.4 cu m.
Other features of the R800LC include the Hyundai’s CAPO (Computer Aided Power Optimization) system, which allows the hydraulic system to be controlled using precisely the correct function setting for any particular job.
It also includes a coolant-management system; if the coolant temperature drops below 30°C, the heating system automatically kicks in at 1200 rpm to get the machine back up to temperature.
For regular maintenance of the machine on site, all major control and maintenance points have been designed for maximum accessibility.
An automatic lubrication system ensures critical components are always provided with the right amount of grease, for reduced wear and tear. Hydraulic oil filter change intervals are set at 1000 operating hours, helping keep down operating costs.
In addition to the R800LC, Hyundai will also use AIMEX to display its 50 tonne R500LC-7 and its HL780-7 wheel loader.
