RedPrairie provides in-house hosting services for StorePerform Workbench solution

Supplier News

RedPrairie Corporation, a consumer-driven optimisation company, is providing in-house hosting services for its StorePerform Workbench solution. The hosting option enables companies to deploy the store execution management application more quickly, with lower up-front capital expense and reduced IT personnel needs to support the application.

The on-demand hosted model places tier-one store execution management capabilities within the reach of smaller retailers and provides an alternative, cost-effective solution for larger companies.

“In addition to bringing store execution management to a broader scope of new customers, our current StorePerform users also see the value of the hosted model,” stated Noel Goggin, chief operating officer, StorePerform business unit for RedPrairie’s retail productivity solutions. Goggin continued, “following a very recent acquisition by RedPrairie, we’re already able to offer one of our leading specialty retail customers the benefit of accelerating their implementation from months to weeks at reduced capital expense to their IT department.

With two industrial-strength data centres, including one dedicated to the European, Middle East and Asia regions, RedPrairie provides a software as a service (SaaS) solution for many of the global top fifty companies, in addition to mid-size and smaller companies. RedPrairie’s full suite of hosted applications covers retail operations from end-to-end, including StorePerform, BlueCube Enterprise and RedPrairie solutions.

"Through its BlueCube Enterprise product, RedPrairie was on the vanguard of the software as a service movement -- hosting its first live subscription-based customer as early as 2000. As such, we have a mature processes and infrastructure to meet the integration, security, change management and support requirements of customers of all sizes and shapes,” comments Stewart Chisam, Vice President of Technology for RedPrairie’s Retail Productivity Solutions.

Chisam continued, “by adding StorePerform's world-class store execution management platform to our growing suite of hosted applications, we continue to lower the costs of implementing our end-to-end consumer driven optimisation suite and to allow our customers to focus on business process improvement instead of basic IT execution."

RedPrairie’s hosted offerings are available with modular subscription pricing, so customers only pay for the parts of the applications necessary for their operations. Services provided with hosting include disaster recovery, maintenance, IT administration and integration services.

Companies can also migrate from a hosted or SaaS agreement to a traditional license, if that model meets the future needs better. Additionally, RedPrairie provides an easy migration path from release to release, with RedPrairie staff managing upgrades rather than a customer’s internal IT staff.
