RedPrairie Corporation, a world leading consumer driven optimisation company, has announced a standard integration to the Microsoft Dynamics GP enterprise resource planning (ERP) suite. The pre-built integration employs both the Microsoft Dynamics GP webservices and RedPrairie Integrator middleware products for faster, less costly and trouble-free implementations.
Comments Jon Pratt, senior director of product marketing for Microsoft Dynamics GP at Microsoft, “the value of integrating Microsoft Dynamics GP and RedPrairie applications has proven extremely effective in helping distributors significantly reduce inventory carrying and operations costs. The RedPrairie integration uses our robust set of Microsoft Dynamics GP webservices to provide our joint customers realworld value from our Realworld Service Oriented Architecture.”
The Microsoft Dynamics GP webservices – Integrator certified integration provides multiple touch points and data transfer methods to easily tailor processing to each company’s needs while preserving upgrade paths.
This simplifies system implementation and maintenance, providing lower total cost of ownership. Data transfer frequencies are user-configurable and the Multi-Company / Multi-Warehouse data structures of both applications are also supported.
Says Tom Kozenski, RedPrairie vice president product marketing, “using the Microsoft Dynamics GP webservices and Integrator middleware products for the integration has many benefits for customers. For example, by embracing their version control and messaging capabilities, RedPrairie not only supports integration to the current version of Microsoft Dynamics GP, but to future versions as well. This ensures customer upgrade paths are preserved, lengthening the systems’ useful life and reducing total cost of ownership.”
Mark Bovaird, manager application integration development for WC Bradley, the parent company of well-known brands Char-Broil, Zebco and Lamplight, concurs. “We are migrating our RedPrairie and other applications to the Microsoft platform because of the lower cost of ownership. RedPrairie’s new standard integration to our Microsoft Dynamics GP ERP suite will make implementation easier and reduce our maintenance costs.”
