RedPrairie have announced that Quantum Foods have implemented RedPrairie’s Warehouse Management (WMS) solution. Frozen meat providers, supplying food service, military, and retail organisations, Quantum Foods chose RedPrairie to implement a single, end-to-end system that could direct every move in to, within, and out of their global distribution centre.
Quantum Foods originally implemented the WMS in 2005, but new management recognised a number of opportunities available in RedPrairie’s solution that were not being leveraged. RedPrairie also worked with Quantum’s team to improve the integration with their host systems on which the company relies. Now, in 2008, Quantum Foods can boast a totally efficient warehouse, and a fast return on investment, which are all part and parcel to the RedPrairie WMS’s comprehensive task optimisation technology, and over 30 years of development.
Michael Sacco, GM for Operations Warehouse, Quantum Foods said that RedPrairie was chosen because of their unique ability to integrate with any system. RedPrairie provided the flexibility and support that Quantum Foods needed to use every resource they had to full effect. The RedPrairie WMS optimised every procedure in the warehouse, and now Quantum Foods have a more streamlined operation that is efficient, cost-effective, and accurate.
Mike Mayoras, RedPrairie CEO said that RedPrairie have a long track record of helping food and beverage companies optimise their distribution networks. Quantum Foods already have a background in quality and this system will also cement a reputation for efficiency.
