RedPrairie Corporation, a leading consumer driven optimisastion company, and EOCOMtms,Inc. have jointly signed a definitive agreement, whereby RedPrairie will acquire GEOCOMtms. The combined companies, operating under the name RedPrairie Corporation, will integrate and support all products and services from both organisations within RedPrairie’s end-to-end suite.

The acquisition will meet the fleet requirements of many industries, including: food and grocery, petroleum, retail, courier, and healthcare delivery. RedPrairie’s Global Transportation Group will integrate and oversee GEOCOMtms’s Quebec City and Atlanta offices.

The acquisition will fulfill demands from shippers and transportation service providers for essential, robust fleet management solutions that provide route optimisation and visibility to manage same day deliveries for private and commercial fleets. These capabilities improve efficiencies and reduce costs by providing effective driver and asset utilisation.

GEOCOMtms specialises in providing optimisation to manage multiple-stop daily delivery fleet scheduling. The solution creates a dynamic link between transportation planners and drivers, combining location based services and in-transit rerouting to better manage fleets in a real time transportation environment.

According to RedPrairie, as it continues to expand its transportation capabilities in North America and beyond, this solution brings RedPrairie customers exciting capabilities to manage domestic and international fleet requirements. It also benefits GEOCOMtms customers who will have access to RedPrairie’s E2e transportation and supply chain capabilities.

According to RedPrairie, it has enjoyed a long-term, successful partnership with GEOCOMtms having offered their advanced solutions to the RedPrairie customer base. RedPrairie is now looking forward to bringing these capabilities in-house and welcoming GEOCOMtms customers and employees into the RedPrairie family.

This acquisition is expected to close by the end of February.
