Publix Supermarkets to implement Workforce Optimisation suite

RedPrairie Corporation has announced that Publix Supermarkets will implement its Workforce Optimisation suite. The Workforce Optimisation suite will provide scheduling technology in all Publix Supermarkets stores, at around 900 locations. The Workforce Optimisation suite includes innovative features that leverage it fully.

The Workforce Optimisation suite’s features include time and attendance, business forecasting, labour demand planning, automated optimised scheduling, associate self service, dashboards with configurable alerts and computer-based training.

The scheduling engine uses engineered labour standards along with historical sales, traffic patterns, special events, fixed tasks and other items such as cases and pharmacy prescriptions to provide an accurate view of labour required to meet customer and task-driven demand throughout Publix Supermarkets stores.

Employee roles, availability and preferences are automatically aligned with labour demand to produce fully optimised work schedules that are then tracked against the system’s time and attendance tools.
