RedPrairie has announced that its mobile solutions group is building on its suite of applications, focusing on developing role-based mobile solutions that can be accessed by a range of devices.
VP of Product Strategy at RedPrairie, Tom Kozenski, explains that the company believes that places like warehouses and retail stores could potentially run completely from mobile devices.
"Mobile technology is an intuitive, no-train platform that is ideal for certain RedPrairie users to leverage in their day-to-day interactions with our software," he explains.
In developing its mobile solutions, RedPrairie focuses on the end user experience, emphasising solutions that are easy to use and require no training.
While the mobile solutions group's charter is global, Kozenski acknowledges that not every country is at the same stage of mobile device uptake.
"Every country is at a different maturation point with mobile devices, but it’s important that we take best practices from around the globe to develop compelling and useful tools for our customers," he concludes.
