RedPrairie, a leading consumer driven optimisation company, has announced that Furniture Outlets USA and Grand Home Furnishings have selected RedPrairie Warehouse Management Solution (WMS) to improve inventory accuracy, labour productivity and decrease overall distribution costs.
Furniture Outlets USA, based in South Dakota, operates 24 carpet and furniture stores in four states and Grand Home Furnishings, based in Virginia, is one of the largest furniture chains in the South.
Furniture Outlets USA and Grand Home Furnishings chose the RedPrairie solution to streamline processes for warehouse personnel and strengthen the back end of the business to increase output and decrease cost associated with the supply chain.
“Furniture Outlets USA’s strategy has always been to sell products at a lower cost, promote a high level of customer service, attract and retain the best employees possible and utilise state-of-the-art inventory and information technology.
RedPrairie is helping us stay true to that goal,” said Gordy Wallenstein, President of Furniture Outlets USA.
“We chose RedPrairie because of their track record in the home furnishings industry. No other leading supply chain solution provider has so many successful implementations in our marketplace.
RedPrairie’s technology will help us make immediate gains and will also position us for future growth,” said Barry Thornton, CIO for Grand Home Furnishings.
“Because of our long track record of serving the home furnishings industry, we have built a very robust solution with a rich set of functionality fine-tuned to meet furniture manufacturer’s and retailer’s needs.
We currently have over 20 furniture customers making gains in inventory accuracy, employee productivity, visibility into inventory and overall customer satisfaction,” said Jerry Neville, Sr. Vice President for RedPrairie.
