Compact turning centre
MIYANO, represented in Australia by Realtek Technologies has released the BNJ CNC compact turning centre. The sub spindle moves in both X and Y axes and has a mimicking link which enables it to link up with the main turret program and follow it.
At the same time, it runs its own program, so with tools mounted on both sides of the main turret it produce two different turning operations simultaneously. A six-station sub turret is able to assist with sub spindle when required. The main turret has 12 stations and offers driven positions in every second station. Driven tools and turning tools can be used on both spindles.
The turning centre offers simultaneous front and back machining. Both turrets are servo-driven, ensuring turret indexing of between 0.1s-0.2s per position. The BNJ is designed to ensure idle times are kept to an absolute minimum.
The 64-bit controller allows flexibility in programming features. A PC card, data storage and Ethernet capabilities are available along with an RS232 port for program and data transfers.
The BNJ is offered in bar sizes of 34mm and 42mm, with a maximum spindle speed of 6000/5000 rpm on the BNJ34S and 5000/5000 rpm on the BNJ42S. It is set up with two three-jaw Kitagawa power chucks as well as the B42/173e collet chucks.
The driven tools system can run from zero to a maximum of 4000 rpm. It has a 2665mm x 1455mm footprint and weighs 4250kg. It is available with an Alps ASRX automatic bar loader.
