Vibrational strength is the result of a corrugated design.
Vibrational strength is the result of a corrugated design.

EPCOS, represented in Australia by Ramelec , has released the B41605 and B41607 series of large capacitors for automotive electronics. They have high vibrational strength and maximum ripple current capability at high temperatures and frequencies.

Their vibrational strength is the result of a corrugated design, which has passed all vibration tests up to 30g and 2kHz after prolonged thermal stress of over 2000 hours at 125°C. The capacitors are designed for maximum operating voltages from 25V to 63V.

They cover the capacitance range from 2100μF to 6800µF and are specified for a maximum continuous operating temperature of 150°C. Their ripple current capability is 13A at 10kHz and 105°C. At this temperature, the components have a service life of 20,000 hours. The new large-size capacitors are available with snap-in terminals and with terminal wires suitable for welding and soldering.
