RS Components have introduced Embedded Computing to their Technology Solutions portfolio. With this launch, RS Components have become distributors of these products for sale in single or small quantities with free next day delivery.
The launch features over 70 new products from manufacturers including Advantech and Kontron. The launch also includes Single Board Computers (SBCs), box SBCs, PICMG SBCs, slot CPU cards, system on modules, flat panel PCs, industrial motherboards and graphic controllers.
Embedded computing is a fast growing technology. SBCs offer high levels of integration, reduced component and connector counts, and are often small, light, power efficient and more reliable than comparable multi-board computers.
They can be used as the 'brains' of almost any system in applications ranging from cars and vending machines to home automation. These new products build on RS Components ' existing comprehensive range of electronic and electromechanical products and are central to their Technology Solutions. To date these include displays, solid state lighting, wireless and power supplies, all of which are ideal for use with SBCs.
