Microcontroller and analogue semiconductor supplier Microchip has struck a deal with RS Components , allowing the catalogue supplier to distribute Microchip’s devices in the Asia Pacific region, including Australia.
RS specialises in the distribution of small-volume industrial component requirements and says it will also support design projects throughout the product lifecycle, from design through prototype production to repair and maintenance. RS believes that its partnership with Microchip enhances its product portfolio and improves its “one-stop” shopping experience for Asian and Australian engineers.
“We are excited to carry Microchip’s broad portfolio of microcontroller and analogue semiconductors,” says Richard Lee, general manager of RS Asia. “We believe our reliable availability of a wide range of products and the simplicity of the buying process will further strengthen Microchip’s growth in Asia.”
“Our partnership with RS is another valuable avenue to ensure we deliver the best products, information and service to design engineers to make their final purchasing decisions, however small or big their order requirements,” says Larry Ross, vice president of RS’ Asia Pacific sales.
