Hakko 493 smoke absorber from RS Components



Hakko 493 smoke absorber

Moulded from a non-sloughing static-dissipative plastic, the Hakko 493 smoke absorber available from RS Components is useful when soldering static-sensitive components.

It is designed to remove noxious substances such as salycylic acid, pinene and hydrogen chloride, found in evaporated smoke that is generated during high temperature, flux-related applications.

The Hakko 493 smoke absorber is fully adjustable, efficient and operates quietly — only 44dBA at 2 meters with 37 cubic feet per minute airflow. Standard activated carbon filter (PN: A1001) absorbs up to 80 percent of the odours from the air and is easy to replace.
 
The 493 ESD is mounted on a wire frame, adjustable tilt-stand with rubber sleeves for non-skid bench-top use and comes with three filters, on/off switch and 3-wire cord.
