Fluke Australia have released their 922 Airflow meter adding to their family of tools designed for heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) and indoor air quality (IAQ) professionals. Fluke Australia’s 922 Airflow meter is available from RS Components .

The Fluke 922 Airflow meter combines differential pressure, air velocity and flow measurements into a single meter. This lets technicians to conveniently monitor air pressure across key HVAC components providing a comfortable environment for occupants by checking for optimum airflow balance.

The Fluke 922 Airflow meter is compatible with most pilot tubes and lets technicians key in the duct shape and dimensions to provide extremely accurate readings.

According to John Piperides, Sales Program Manager, Fluke Australia, the Fluke 922 makes airflow measurements easy by combining three tools into a single meter. This is important because HVAC and IAQ technicians want a simple solution for diagnosing ventilation issues. Differential pressure measurements only tell part of the story, but the Fluke 922 also measures air velocity and flow, meaning technicians do not need to use additional expensive, difficult to use, specialist tools.

The Fluke 922 Airflow meter can be used to:

measure pressure drops across key HVAC equipment to drive peak performance and extend equipment life
match ventilation to occupant loads
monitor indoor versus outdoor pressure relationships
promote indoor comfort and quality
perform duct traversals for accurate airflow readings
