Compliance Testing
In keeping with the requirements of the EMC Framework in Australia (C Tick), the EMC directive in Europe (CE mark) and regulations in other countries such as the US (FCC), nearly all electrical and electronic products are subject to EMC testing for conducted and radiated electromagnetic emissions and immunity.
The EMI / EMC testing laboratories provide modern facilities with calibrated instrumentation for compliance testing to a wide range of EMC standards.
Vehicle Testing
- The laboratory provides EMC testing for compliance to Toyota, Ford, Volvo, GM, Mitsubishi, and many other worldwide automotive standards.
- Extensive facilities, equipment and experienced engineering staff can meet complex EMC testing requirements.
- EMI / EMC testing laboratory is equipped to carry out component testing and vehicle testing at our OATS, or indoor (iOATS), which contains an exhaust extraction system.
- The laboratory utilises specialised test equipment such as pulse generators, striplines, 30kV ESD generators and coupling networks to perform EMC testing for the automotive industry.
Military Compliance
The EMI / EMC testing laboratories have established a fully equipped test facility to prepare and implement test plans and carry out testing for Army, Navy and Air Force specifications to MIL STD 462E (and earlier variants).
Consultation, EMC testing and evaluation services are part of the in house capabilities. RFI Industries specialises in customer support to achieve military compliance.
Site and RaDHaz Surveys and Interference Investigation
- The EMI / EMC testing laboratories undertake comprehensive electromagnetic ambient site surveys and interference investigations to cover all types of customer requirements.
- Occupational Health and Safety concerns at a particular site can be resolved by measuring the power density in accordance with AS 2772.2.
- Surveys near high power radar transmitters, HV power lines and mobile telephone antenna towers are often carried out. In some instances, exclusion zones are mapped out whilst on other occasions signal strengths are recorded for specific reception or shielding requirements.
- Shielded effectiveness surveys can be carried out.
- The laboratory offers professional RF and ELF prediction calculations and field mapping services.
