Clint Finch appointed as Test Operations Manager at RFI Industries
The EMI/EMC Laboratories of RFI Industries have recently appointed Clint Finch as the Test Operations Manager. Clint will be supporting Andrew Whiteford, who is the Laboratory Division Manager. This selection is a further strategic step in RFI Industries’ plan for growth, facilitating and improving customer technical requirements.
Clint comes to RFI’s Laboratory from the UK with an extensive background and notable employment history in the EMC testing field. He was part of ‘RFI Global services Ltd’ team, located in England, from 2002 – 2006. He moved from his initial position as EMC Engineer to EMC Senior Engineer, which he undertook from 2006 to 2007.
Most recently Clint worked as an EMC Consultant for a large commercial testing facility, where his main responsibilities were writing of test procedures, testing and generation of reports, test and measurement trend analysis investigations - assuring complete traceability and repeatability, product/test development, supporting and training other engineers.
During his career he has obtained a B.Sc. Engineering, BTEC National Diploma in Mechatronics (Mechanical and Electrical/Electronic engineering), Amateur radio foundation Licence, and has attended training courses including measurement uncertainties, Essential test file contents/test report generation/checking, EMC fixes, Quality, R&TTE directive, GSM fundamentals, Bluetooth fundamentals, Electrical Safety, and radio and microwave testing.
In his spare time, Clint likes playing guitar, mountain biking and fishing.
At RFI’s laboratory he will be responsible for the day-to-day technical operations, mostly involving supervising and training Test Engineers, and ensuring all testing is carried out correctly and professionally. RFI is fortunate to acquire a team member such as Clint who brings valuable EMC testing expertise and experience.
