Z-Communications, represented by RF Parts Australia , have announced a new VCO (voltage-controlled oscillator) model CRO5100Z in C-band.
The CRO5100Z operates from 5090-5110MHz with a tuning voltage range of 0.5-4.5VDC. This VCO features a typical phase noise of -104dBc/Hz at 10KHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity of 20MHz/V.
The CRO5100Z is designed to deliver a typical output power of 3dBm at 5VDC supply while drawing 118mA (typical, due to the internal doubler) over the temperature range of 0ºC to 85ºC.
This VCO features better 2nd harmonic suppression of -40dBc (typical) and comes in Z- Communications’ VCO-24H package measuring 0.63x0.866x0.22 inch. It is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements. The CRO5100Z is also suitable for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.
The CRO5100Z is suitable for microwave radio applications that require better 2nd harmonic suppression and ultra low phase noise performance.
