10 years of research went in to the development of BOOMERANG onboard weighing systems from RDS .

BOOMERANG onboard weighing systems are designed specifically for excavators, and allow the operator to collect weight data without stopping the boom. The BOOMERANG is a dynamic onboard weighing system that uses angular weighing sensors to check the rotation and allow the calculation of weight at any point of the working area. These sensors must be installed on the dipper arm and the boom of the excavator.

BOOMERANG onboard weighing systems are installed using a quick release connector and are transferrable between machines.
