RCR Tomlinson manufactures tubular, indirect, industrial air heaters. The wave-form design of these heaters comprises a combustion chamber lined with ceramic and a stainless steel, air-to-air heat exchanger.

These gas fired heaters can reach temperatures of up to 420C and have an output range of 2 MW – 12 MW. During the combustion process, flue gas is recirculated to decrease NOx levels and moderate the temperature of the heater. This practice helps to prolong the life of the heater.

As optional extras recuperative air heaters or economisers can be fitted on the exhaust of these heaters, improving productivity. An oil fuelled version of this heater is available upon request.
