Key advantages of tube lasers

  • Structural joints or tube-to-tube connections can be created with precise angles and arcs that mate together without the need for extra processing
  • Reductions in wall thickness and weight can be achieved by interlocking joints, which offer greater strength
  • Tube can be prepared and cut for hand bending operations by incorporating knockouts and bendable tabs that can be removed
  • Consolidates multiple fabrication processes into a single continuous process

Many part designs now have integrated slot and tab designs allowing for self-locating or easy fitment of corresponding parts.  

Slot and tab solutions can also be created to hold tube pieces together for welding. For parts that are assembled manually, a tighter cutting tolerance makes them easier to assemble.  

Starting from a tube bundle, all processing is completed within a fully automatic working cycle ranging from selection of individual bars, measurement, feeding and cutting to conveying and unloading of the finished parts. This ensures that all jobs are processed with repeatable accuracy, quality and speed in a cost-effective manner.
