Roland PICZA LPX-60 3D laser scanners from Qubic allow the operator to scan objects into their computer in a highly automated way. These powerful 3D laser scanners work just like a microwave oven. The operator simply opens the door, places the object they want scanned into the device, closes the door, sets the scan parameters and presses start. The scanner will automatically 3D scan the object and a 3D computer model will be created.
There are no complicated settings on these 3D scanners and no technical expertise is needed to operate them. Users are able to control the scanning resolution, laser scan area and laser scan mode. For more advanced scanning, software packages such as Geometry Systems, Rapidform and Geomagic are available and recommended by Qubic. These programs allow the operator to align complex scans and to process data to usable file formats for animation or manufacturing purposes.
Roland PICZA LPX-60 3D laser scanners are compact and able to fit onto a desktop. They can accommodate objects as large as 203.2 mm in diameter and 304.8 mm in height. Their operation is also quiet making them ideal for using in the office and perfect for designers, artists, animators and game developers.
