Poly Crystalline Diamond Drill Bits

Quarry Mining & Construction Equipment  design and manufacture Poly Crystalline Diamond (PCD) Drill Bits for the underground coal mining sector.

Quarry Mining & Construction Equipment’s diamond drill bits are currently in use at many of the Hunter Valley, southern NSW and Bowen Basin coal mines as well as in New Zealand and Europe.

The machined bit body with PCD inserts provides for a longer lasting bit and higher production rate for drilling in coal mines.

The Poly crystalline diamond combines the hardness and abrasion resistance of diamond with the impact resistance of tungsten carbide.

The drill bits are designed to remove the rock by shearing rather than by crushing or grinding. Sizes vary from 27mm through to 76mm with drive arrangements available in M16, R18, R19, R22, R25 and AW thread.
