ENTERPRISE resource planning software provider QAD Australia has appointed Carol Gobby as National Business Development Manager to lead the company's specific focus on new business in the Australia and New Zealand region.
This is a new position within QAD Australia and is in response to the increased demand from prospective customers that QAD is seeing nationally.
In line with QAD's global strategy, the focus of the Australian and New Zealand business unit will be on forming long-term partnerships with new customers, providing solutions that remain relevant, sustaining competitive advantage throughout the life cycle of the application. This approach makes a refreshing change from the usual software vendor model of sell and implement.
Ms Gobby said that many other companies say they will look after a customer holistically, but QAD is the first company she has seen with a definite structured plan that supports this.
Ms Gobby says she is looking forward to being a part of this team and working collaboratively with Australian Business to bring greater clarity to their supply chain issues.
Ms Gobby joins QAD from Acumen Alliance where she held business development roles in both Sydney and Canberra across a range of ERP solutions from Oracle and Microsoft.
QAD has offices in Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide and employs approximately 80 people in Australia.
