Pyrosales recently supplied a temperature monitoring solution to a major Australian road infrastructure project, BrisConnections.
Approached by Thiess John Holland, the Head Contractors for the project, Pyrosales delivered a solution for monitoring temperature during concrete curing. The solution enabled the project engineers to monitor the concrete temperature on-site as well as record data to provide reports for the project approval process.
Pyrosales supplied temperature elements with extension cable and dual input data loggers with logging software as part of the temperature monitoring solution.
The temperature elements consisted of a matched resistance thermistor bulb in a waterproof housing and 16 metres of extension cable. Sufficient stock of components is maintained by Pyrosales at their Brisbane factory to enable fast production of the elements.
The dual input and alternate display of the two temperature points shown on the data loggers enabled the onsite engineers to closely monitor the relative curing temperatures, so that corrective action could be taken if variations were outside the allowable limit.
The data logging function allowed logged data to be downloaded on-site during operation; alternatively the unit could be removed at the end of the logging period for downloading at the site office.
The temperature monitoring solution enabled Pyrosales to demonstrate their problem-solving abilities and provide products to meet the customer’s needs.
Pyrosales offers data loggers, thermocouples, RTDs, handheld calibrators, thermal imaging cameras as well as equipment to measure and manage flow, level and pressure, providing their customers total sensor solutions.
