Pyrosales engineered a solution for Bluescope Steel to improve efficiency in their steel-making process.
A major producer of steel in Australia, Bluescope Steel was impacted by the Global Financial Crisis, and was forced to implement cutbacks in 2011 due to the high value of the Australian dollar.
Having just completed a major blast furnace re-line on the No 5 blast furnace, Bluescope Steel was faced with the decision to recoup its investment and shut down the much newer No 6 blast furnace.
To help Bluescope Steel maintain a viable production against the influx of cheaper imports, Pyrosales investigated and advised on ways of achieving increased efficiency in different areas of the steel making processes.
Employing their extensive experience in all areas of high temperature measurement applications, Pyrosales designed and produced special sensors to improve the operation of the steel making processes, as well as the maintainability of installations.
Pyrosales has the experience and resources to provide properly engineered solutions for difficult applications.
