12 months ago Ptronik formerly P Thomas Electronics installed a dust extraction master controller pMC into a cement factory in NSW. The initial installation was a pMCt, that has the tube cleaner fitted, but the factory upgraded to the pMCc data logging when it came available. The dust collector controller pMC can be upgraded with any new features at any stage which is an important advantage.
The factory had specialist production requests that require additional sensors to monitor that the production runs smoothly. The following sensors where added to the dust extraction system: air flow, header tank pressure, humidity and temperature.
The compressed air consumption had been reduced by 40% withing the first 2 weeks of installation of the dust extraction PMCc, making significant savings in energy consumption.
The data logging can display the events of the last 12 months, providing valuable information to ensure that the plant is running to the optimum level to avoid any production disruptions.
