PRYDE Measurement has released the SeaMetrics DL75 data logger system for unattended recording of flow rates.
The system replaces chart recorders with a meter-mounted module, a PDA-based transporter, and desktop software. A PDA can be used to set up the logger, to monitor rate and total in the field, and to carry the data back to the office. Software then displays and prints graphs or converts data to a spreadsheet. The software for both PDA and desktop software is contained on a single CD and synchronising automatically installs it.
The bearings and end stones are made of sapphire and ruby combined with nickel-bonded tungsten carbide shafts to provide extremely low friction. Low-flow performance and wear resistance are provided. Ceramic shafts for increased corrosion resistance are available.
