Australian ERP software manufacturer Pronto Software has won a 2013 Australian Business Awards.
The software company took out the Product Innovation category.
According to the company the award for Product Innovation is for "differentiated or more effective products, processes, services or technologies of commercial, environmental, social significance and/or benefit to the marketplace".
This isn't the first time the company has been recognised by the awards program, with Pronto Software previously winning the Product Excellence category in both 2011 and 2012.
David Jackman, Pronto Software's managing director, stated that "the win represented the organisation’s significant and ongoing investment in local innovation".
"We are thrilled to continue our success with the Australian Business Awards this year and be recognised as one of the country’s leading innovators.
"Pronto Software has invested heavily in local innovation over the past year, grown our development team and doubled the floor space size of our R&D centre in Melbourne," Jackman added.
The company won the award for its new release, the release Pronto Xi 710, which Jackman says "represents over 115,000 hours of core development, undertaken in Australia.
He went on to say that one of the major aspects of the Pronto Xi program is its flexible modular system that adapts to customer needs, whcih came about after the developer worked closely with its customers during the R&D phase.
