Australia’s domestic ERP vendor, Pronto Software has signed a major deal to implement its flagship ERP solution, PRONTO-Xi with Queensland-based Company, Vanglobe.
Vanglobe is the market leader in manufacturing premium rotational moulding powder, used to make commercial water tanks. With its head office in Brisbane, Vanglobe also has operations in Melbourne, Perth and New Zealand. Upon joining the company three months ago, Vanglobe Chief Financial Officer was charged to oversee the selection and implementation of a new ERP system to accommodate the company’s rapid growth.
According to Vanglobe, it had outgrown its current financial system and needed a more comprehensive ERP system, which would give management a clearer picture of its manufacturing operations and performance overall.
Vanglobe needed a package to give it complete control of the business, and be much clearer about what was going on throughout its manufacturing sites. to Vanglobe also wanted a one system, one vendor scenario, and not have to rely on any third party suppliers.
Vanglobe sought the input from the Queensland Manufacturing Institute, which nominated PRONTO-Xi as an appropriate system to consider.
According to Vanglobe, PRONTO-Xi is a cost effective solution which met all the requirements for a fully integrated ERP system. Vanglobe has taken on shopfloor manufacturing, manufacturing planning, financials, distribution, executive information system, quality management and the laboratory capabilities.
The key reason Vanglobe chose PRONTO-Xi was the ease of use to enable it to cope with its expansion. As Vanglobe grows to a $100 million company, PRONTO-Xi will be able to scale with it.
Pronto Software’s is pleased the company was selected by Vanglobe. Manufacturing is a key market sector for it and it is one that they continue to aggressively pursue. So it is not only rewarding to assist companies such as Vanglobe grow its business, but to be recognised by the State’s leading manufacturing body as a player in the industry.
