Pronto Software , providers of ERP solutions, have received certification for their data synchronisation tool, PRONTO-Xi iSupplyGlobal, with Australian data standards body, GS1net.
The certification comes as GS1 phases out its EANnet data pool to GS1net as part of a global initiative to develop an international directory of data registries, known as the Global Data Synchronisation Network (GDSN).
It further opens up the global trade by enabling companies around the globe to exchange universally the standardised supply chain data with their trading partners using GS1net in Australia or via other GDSNcompliant data pools.
GS1net is a web-based electronic catalogue that serves as a hub for supply chain trading partners to automatically and accurately exchange product and pricing information. In simple terms, a supplier electronically uploads the product data to the GS1net data pool which is published in a standardised format for the buyer to electronically download into their merchandising or purchasing system. Various retailers such as Coles Myer and
Woolworths are mandating suppliers to become GS1net compliant.
Pronto Software’s iSupplyGlobal product enables customers to collaborate more cost effectively with selected trading partners by providing timely, automatic, 100 percent accurate data via GS1net. It creates significant supply chain efficiencies and trading cycle accuracy by taking the cost out of the order management process by removing the manual intervention to correct incompatible data errors. It also ensures ongoing data integrity through a verification layer featuring an extra set of validation rules.
