Pronto Software closes ERP deal with not-for-profit Vatmi Industries

Supplier News

Pronto Software , an Australian developer of enterprise software solutions, has inked a deal with Vatmi Industries, Victoria’s largest employer of people with disabilities, to roll out its flagship ERP solution, PRONTO-Xi.

Widely acknowledged as an industry leader within the disability services sector, Vatmi Industries employs 440 people, 300 of which are employees with a disability. Based in regional and metropolitan Victoria, it offers employment opportunities in its contract packing and manufacturing, recycling, catering and art studio businesses.

Vatmi Industries will roll out PRONTO-Xi across its four businesses and has selected a full range of modules including Financials, CRM, Manufacturing Planning, Shop Floor Manufacturing and Distribution. The company expects to go live late October 2009.

Vatmi Industries’ Chief Executive Officer Greg Wasmund said he initially invited three organisations to tender, including SAP.

“I liked the look and feel of PRONTO-Xi from the start. They had a good track record for project management and implementation, and they were very professional. We were keen to purchase a solution that required little change on our behalf and didn’t want to have to adjust our practices to suit the software. When comparing solutions, we found PRONTO-Xi to be the best fit for the business.”

Wasmund added that PRONTO-Xi will streamline its processes all around the state, driving greater efficiencies throughout its various businesses.

“PRONTO-Xi will allow us to standardise our different processes. We needed a fully-integrated management system that had the capability of being installed regionally as well as at head office.”

Wasmund said that Pronto’s implementation and training aspects were another key attractor.

“With businesses in both metropolitan and regional Victoria, I really liked the implementation plan Pronto put together to have the software integrated into the business. Being down the road, they also offer good local support.

“They’re a company of substance and they’re price-competitive. In the end we also felt they were the most user-friendly.”

Pronto Software’s Managing Director David Jackman said, “That one of Australia’s industry leaders in the disability services field has chosen Pronto Software to deliver its ERP needs validates our expertise and flexibility to address business requirements from a range of sectors.

“Not only were we able to demonstrate that PRONTO-Xi is a technically superior ERP solution, but also the best-fit supplier in terms of our customer focus for Vatmi Industries.”
