Ogawa World to use Pronto Software’s ERP solution
Pronto Software , in conjunction with Malaysian partner SL Information System, has won a RM 2 million (AUD 700,000) deal to implement its ERP solution, PRONTO-Xi, throughout listed healthcare retailer Ogawa World Berhad’s 172 stores.
PRONTO-Xi will integrate Ogawa World’s front and back office operations and streamline overall management workflow from sales to forecasting and inventory planning, achieving greater operational visibility, efficiencies and customer excellence for the company.
Ogawa World is a healthcare and fitness equipment provider that designs, develops and retails health care equipment and supplementary appliances under its own trademark-registered brand names, OGAWA and DEKI.
It has retail outlets in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. With 39 new stores opening last year alone, Ogawa is experiencing phenomenal growth and has plans to expand its international retail presence to a projected 350 stores over the next five years.
The company will use a range of highly scalable PRONTO-Xi modules including Financials, Distribution, Service, CRM and Retail to improve its supply chain, sales and service velocity. According to Louis Chong, Executive Director, Ogawa World Berhad, the selection of PRONTO-Xi is a strategic move to facilitate the company’s strong expansion path.

In order to compliment our growth and expansion plans, a complete and transparent business process overview and an integrated system is of importance. With the PRONTO-Xi implementation we are able to enhance our operations to respond efficiently and speedily to all our business needs,” Louis Chong said.
The project will commence in the first quarter of 2008 at Ogawa’s head office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, followed by implementation throughout its retail outlets in Asia Pacific.
